FAQ
What makes Nanny House 365 different?
I take a very personal approach to every nanny search. I bring more than 16 years of firsthand nanny experience to every family I work with, and I personally handle the search, screening, candidate profiles, introductions, and placement process.
Experience and education matter, but I also pay attention to the things that can be harder to put on paper — personality, temperament, energy, communication, and how a nanny connects with children and fits into a family's everyday life.
I don't simply send you a list of candidates. I take the time to understand your family and make introductions based on who I believe could truly be a good fit.
You know your family. I know nannies.
How much does nanny placement cost?
For permanent nanny placements, the placement fee is 15% of the nanny's first-year gross compensation, with a minimum placement fee of $2,500 for full-time and $1,500 for part-time. There is no upfront search fee. The placement fee is due when your nanny begins employment.
Travel nanny placements: 1–7 days $750; 8–14 days $1,000; 15–30 days $1,500.
I believe families should know exactly what to expect before they decide to move forward. No guessing, no hidden fees, and no pressure.
Is there an upfront search fee?
No. There is no upfront search fee. For permanent placements, the placement fee is due when your nanny begins employment.
Who employs the nanny?
The family directly employs the nanny. Nanny House 365 is a placement service and does not employ, pay, or supervise the nanny. Once a placement is made, the family and nanny enter into their own employment relationship.
The family is responsible for the nanny's employment, including wages, payroll, taxes, and other employer responsibilities.
How do you screen your nannies?
I personally review each candidate’s experience, education, employment history, references, and required certifications. Every nanny candidate goes through a thorough screening and verification process.
Education is an important part of my screening process. A college degree is required for consideration, and I verify the candidate’s degree, college or university, and graduation information.
Background screening includes identity verification, criminal background searches, sex-offender registry checks, federal and applicable state or county searches, and motor vehicle record checks when the nanny will be driving children. Employment and professional references are also verified.
I also take the time to get to know each candidate beyond their application. Personality, communication, temperament, reliability, and overall fit matter when I’m considering whether to introduce a nanny to a family.
Screening and verification are completed with the appropriate authorizations and disclosures.
Do you guarantee your placements?
Yes. Permanent placements include a 90-day replacement guarantee. If a qualifying placement ends within the 90-day guarantee period, I will conduct a replacement search at no additional placement fee, subject to the terms of the placement agreement. The guarantee provides a replacement search rather than a cash refund.
What areas do you serve?
I currently serve families throughout the greater Phoenix area, including Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Mesa, and surrounding communities. If you're outside these areas, reach out anyway. Depending on the position and your family's needs, I may be able to help.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
Once you submit an inquiry, I'll review the information you've provided and reach out to schedule a conversation.
We'll talk about your family, your children, your schedule, what you're looking for in a nanny, and the qualities that matter most to you.
From there, I'll create a family profile for you to review, outlining your family's needs, preferences, schedule, and the qualities you're looking for in a nanny. This ensures we're all on the same page about what the right fit looks like before I begin the search.
I'll keep you informed throughout the process and will only introduce candidates I genuinely believe could be a good fit for your family.
What information do you need from me to start the search?
The first step is getting to know your family. I'll want to learn about your children, your schedule, your routines, and what your day-to-day life actually looks like.
I'll ask about the type of childcare you're looking for, the responsibilities you want your nanny to handle, your ideal schedule, and what has or hasn't worked for your family in the past.
I'll also want to know about the things that might not show up on a job description — your family's personality, your parenting style, your children's personalities and energy levels, and the qualities that are most important to you in the person caring for them.
We'll talk about experience, education, personality, temperament, communication, reliability, and the type of relationship you want to have with your nanny.
The more I understand about your family, the better I can understand the kind of person who will truly fit into your life. I want to know the details that matter — not just what you're looking for in a nanny, but what makes your family work.
What happens if the nanny I hire doesn't work out?
I understand that even when you do everything right, sometimes a placement simply doesn't work out. If a placement doesn't work out, I'll talk with you about what you experienced, what worked, what didn't, and what you now know you need in your next nanny.
Permanent placements include a 90-day replacement guarantee. If a qualifying placement ends within the 90-day guarantee period, I'll conduct a replacement search at no additional placement fee, subject to the terms of the placement agreement. The guarantee provides a replacement search rather than a cash refund.
How involved are you throughout the placement process?
I'm involved from the beginning of your search through the placement process. I'll get to know your family, conduct the search, personally review and screen candidates, create candidate profiles, make introductions, and help facilitate communication throughout the process.
I don't simply send you a list of candidates and leave you to figure it out. I want to understand why I'm introducing each candidate and be able to explain why I believe they could be a good fit for your family.
You're always the one making the final decision, but I'm there to help you navigate the process and find the right fit.
Do you help with the nanny's employment agreement?
The family and nanny are responsible for establishing their own employment agreement. I can help facilitate the conversation around the position, schedule, responsibilities, compensation, and expectations, but the family directly employs the nanny.
I recommend that families have a written employment agreement that clearly outlines the terms of employment and expectations for both the family and nanny.
My role is to help you find the right person and facilitate the placement — not to act as the nanny's employer.
Do you work with families who currently employ a nanny?
Yes. I work with families who currently employ a nanny. Whether you're replacing a nanny who is moving on, looking for someone with a different schedule or skill set, or simply realizing that your family's needs have changed, I'll take the time to understand what you're looking for this time around.
If you're currently employing a nanny, it's the family's responsibility to review any existing employment agreement or other obligations before beginning a new nanny search. Nanny House 365 is not a party to your existing employment agreements and does not provide legal advice regarding those agreements.
How many nanny candidates will I meet?
I don't believe in sending families a long list of candidates just to give them options. I take the time to identify and screen candidates who align with what you're looking for, including their experience, education, personality, and overall fit.
Every search is different, and the number of introductions will depend on your family's specific needs and the candidates who meet those needs. My focus is on making thoughtful introductions rather than sending you a stack of candidates to sort through.
The goal is simple: I want each candidate I introduce to be someone you can genuinely see fitting into your family.
How do you decide which nannies to introduce to my family?
I look at the whole picture. Experience and education are important, but they're only part of what makes someone the right candidate for a particular family.
I consider the nanny's experience, education, availability, personality, temperament, energy, communication style, reliability, and the type of care your family needs. I also consider the ages and personalities of your children, your family's schedule, and the expectations of the position.
Before I make an introduction, I ask myself a simple question: Can I see this person fitting into this family? If the answer is yes, that's when I'll make the introduction.
What if I don't like any of the candidates you introduce?
You should never feel pressured to move forward with a nanny simply because I've introduced them. I'll want to hear your honest feedback about what didn't feel right — whether it was their experience, personality, communication style, availability, or simply that the connection wasn't there.
That feedback helps me better understand what you're looking for and refine the search. I'll continue looking for candidates who align with your family's needs and the qualities you're looking for.
Finding the right fit can take time, and I'd rather take the time to find someone who feels right than encourage you to settle for someone who doesn't.
Can you look for a nanny with specific experience or qualifications?
Yes. If your family has specific needs, I'll take those into consideration when I'm searching for candidates. That might include experience with newborns, multiples, school-aged children, special schedules, travel, driving, household responsibilities, or other childcare needs that are important to your family.
I'll also consider the experience, education, personality, temperament, and availability you're looking for.
What happens after I accept a nanny?
Once you decide you'd like to move forward with a nanny, I'll help facilitate the next steps toward the placement. Once the nanny begins employment, the family and nanny enter into their own employment relationship. The family is responsible for the nanny's employment, including wages, payroll, taxes, and other employer responsibilities.
If a permanent placement ends within the 90-day guarantee period, Nanny House 365 will conduct a new nanny search at no additional placement fee, subject to the terms of the placement agreement.
Can I talk to you before deciding to work with Nanny House 365?
Absolutely. I want families to feel comfortable with the process before deciding whether Nanny House 365 is the right fit for them.
I'm happy to have a conversation, learn a little about your family and what you're looking for, and answer any questions you have about my placement process. We can connect by phone, Zoom, or FaceTime — whatever is easiest for you.
There is no upfront search fee and no cost to have an initial conversation with me. For permanent placements, the placement fee is only due when your nanny begins employment.
There's no pressure to move forward. I believe choosing a nanny is an important decision, and choosing the person who helps you find that nanny should feel right, too.Big Ideas, Real Impact.
